Rally DetailHere is a list of just a few of the events we have planned for the rally so far, please check the website often to ensure that you have the most up to date information.Opening Ceremonies will be held on the Capitol Lawn on September 1, 2010 at 6:30 PM. VIP Dinner will be held in the Capitol Rotunda immediately following opening ceremonies. This event is by invitation only and identification will be required. This event is reserved for our large sponsors, state and Harley Davidson dignitaries as well as one lucky pre-registration HOG member and their guest. (Please see the HOME page for details). There will be three Ride Like A Pro demonstrations, daily. These are demonstrations designed to demonstrate safe riding techniques and if you haven't seen one you are really missing out! My wife and I voted you and your riders the best thing about the rally. Your wife is a true inspiration for lady riders, she's an outstanding rider, I've never seen any lady ride like her, ever. Great shows, we appreciate what you're doing for riders everywhere." and you still have time to check them out at OUR rally! We will have a guided ride to a working coal mine, where a hog roast lunch will be provided for those that chose this event. This tour and lunch is being sponsored by Andrew Jordon of Pritchard Mining Co. Inc. Saturday will be filled with all kinds of fun, starting with bike events and a Bike Show. You can also pick up your free tickets for the University of Charleston Football Game at Rally Registration, where there will be reserved motorcycle parking. Some may want to take in the sites of a Madi Gras style Funeral Parade that will march down Capitol Street. And for avid outdoorsmen, check out the West Virginia Bass Federation fishing tournament weigh in. Our popular "Raw Hide Ride" returns, for the third year. The route has not been finalized. Back by popular demand, we will have a NASCAR Simulator. Charleston’s Best Western Hotel will sponsor our rally by displaying the #99 NASCAR and the Best Western Show Bike. They will also have preferred seating for all rally attendees, at their location for USA Sanction Boxing events on Friday and Saturday evening. We will have a Ladies Ride, followed by a Ladies Only Luncheon. This day will be filled with activities and events that will interest and focus on the Ladies of Harley. And brand new this year…. A Taste of WV – H.O.G. Style. The rules of this are still in the works, but this is what we are working on. Each H.O.G. Rally Attendee that turns in 5 or more itemized restaurant receipts (alcohol NOT included) totaling at least $100 will be put in a drawing for a cash prize of $250. Guided and self guided rides to a WV artisan blown glass factory, Blenko Glass. We will have a WV Motorcycle History display. No motorcycle rally is complete without poker runs, bike events and vendors, so we will have plenty of those too! So just ride here through the hills of West Virginia, to the big City of Charleston, where the Davisson Brothers will kick us off with some great entertainment and sing their hit song Big City Hillbilly; and you will see what the 2010 WV HOG Rally is all about!
